monitor won't sleep

I have set the computer so that the monitor shuts off
after 10 minutes and the hard disks after 1 hour. The
problem is that the screensaver keeps running and the
screen never goes black.

If you have your monitor set to switch off after 10 minutes why the hell do
you use a screensaver? Set screensaver to (none). Duh...

sorry, monitor was set to 30 minutes, now how about a non-
