Monitor Won't Go Into Power Off

When I set up screensaver to power down my monitor, it will work until I
reboot my computer. Then, the screensaver works but the power down doesn't
work. It is as though it has lost its settings, but settings in the energy
saver section are as I left them. This happens again and again.

You might try another video driver from the chip or card manufacturer's
WEBsite. If results are poor ROLL BACK to the prior driver. If you are
unfamiliar with this process, it's best left to someone who is - or left
alone as is.
