Hi, Hope I am asking in the right group. When ever my monitor whats it will
go black,No Picture, the power is on,sometime its fine for a while{day}and
sometimes it will go out every 10 minutes,or when it wants.I have to turn the
power off to the monitor and it comes back on for as long as it
wants.Sometime I have to turn the power button on and off 10 times before it
will stay on.
I thought it might have loose wires, check , they are fine.Thought it might
be heat from the light over head ; turn the light out but still same problem.
Start about a month ago for 1 day ,than every thing seemed fine ,untill the
last week.
Monitor HP pavilion f1703
HP Desk top Pentium 4 cpu 3ghz 504 ram
I will appreciate any help.
Thank you... Whimpie

Have you tried updating the current video adapter's drivers. Is there way
you can test the monitor on another computer. Or hook up a different monitor
to your current video adapter.

I guess I can find another monitor to use on my computer to see if it
still happens,or I can bring this Monitor to one of my children and hook it
to there computer and see what happens.
Thanks for now... Whimpie

William is this were I want to play with?
Reinstall video driver
Purpose
To remove and reinstall the current HP Pavilion video driver on your PC.
When device driver information is accidentally changed, communication between
a device and the PC operating system can be affected. Reinstalling driver
information can restore this communication and improve device performance.

Time required
This installation takes several minutes. The time varies, depending on the
configuration of your PC.

Before reinstalling the driver
Make sure you are logged on as the owner or computer administrator.
Close all programs and turn off the screensaver.
Click Run to reinstall the driver. If you do not want to reinstall the
driver, click the Back arrow on the toolbar to go back to a previous window.

Or should I look for my type of video adapter I have?{if so were do I
look?} Or go to Belarc Hardware Advisor

Thank for your information,
