monitor driver and xp

I have a monitor driver disc but it is not xp signed so windows sugests I
use the plug and play driver.I have a video card as well sould I use the old
driver? Thanks

Unsigned drivers are fairly common and usually not a problem if you know
it's the right driver for your hardware. Monitor drivers are not all that
important and if it's working well as is I wouldn't be too concerned about
it. (Monitor "drivers" are not really a device driver at all but a file
describing the monitors capabilities.) Video card drivers are important..
and it's usually advisable to use the latest.
