monitor color is way off

I don't know who I am writing to or if this it the right
place to ask this, but I hooked up a new Daytek 1726 D
monitor and the color is way too dark for pics and
videos. I have the contrast and brightness on the manual
settings at %100.
Can anyone help me fix this?

Did you buy this new? The model is listed as a "previous model" at the
Daytek website which doesn't mean it isn't new, I'm just trying to clarify
for purposes of trying to help.

One way to check would be to connect the monitor to another computer and see
if you have the same issue. If yes, there's likely a problem with the
monitor and you might want to take it back. Especially if it is new since
it would still be under warranty.
