Hi. I apologize because this is the xp newsgroup, but didn't know where
would be a good place to post. I have a flat panel lcd monitor, and want to
know what is a good method to clean off debris that is something other than
dust, like a sneeze remnant? I thought a damp paper towel, but I don't want
to wreck my monitor. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Recommendations For Cleaning LCD Panel Monitors:

Improper cleaning methods may cause damage to the LCD Panel.
These are examples of cleaners that can damage your LCD Panel:

Glass Cleaner/Windex
Furniture Polish
Solvents
Detergents

Acceptable Cleaning Solutions: · Room Temperature Water · Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol
The LCD Panel should be cleaned using only a soft cotton cloth and a minimum of cleaning solution.
Using a paper towel, tissue, or other paper type product may cause scratches to the LCD. After applying
an acceptable cleaning solution to a cotton cloth, gently & carefully with minimum pressure wipe the LCD.
It is important to only wipe in one direction, either vertically or horizontally. Never wipe the LCD panel
in a circular motion. You should never spray any cleaning solution directly on the LCD panel itself.

Note: Using any types of paper products including paper towels is not recommended
