1. Press Alt+Space Bar
2. Press S
3. Use up/down/left/right arrows to resize
4. Press Enter when done, or Esc to cancel

Yes it is possible. The question is what "Windows size" was it you want
to modify.

I think using the mouse is easier

Except when the edges of the window are past the edge of the screen or
the mouse is refusing to work (USB down, safe mode, driver acting out etc)
