Hi,
Because of security concerns on our network, we would like to remove users from being local admins on their PC. If i use power users is there anyway to get around the problem of software installation that modifies system files and the ability to run norton antivirus and also print driver installs. I understand this is all a problem with being a power user. anyway around this so I can use power users instead of local admins.thanks for any help.Windows 2003 server and xp on desktop.

Nope - you got Users, Power Users, Admins (amongst others). But how
is removing a user from the "Local Admin Group" going to solve a
"security" concern on the network (assuming domain).
A user designated as "local admin" on his/her PC can be designated
"user" (aka Plain Jane) on the domain (we have about 100 IT users -
developers, programmers this way).
