Why should it? This is a PUBLIC newsgroup. It is NOT under Microsoft's

Yes. As far as I know, Microsoft does *not* edit or control the groups in
any way. That's what I'm saying.
comes from their unofficial spokesperson... MVPs who ironically enough
make by far the most noise here.

That's a little bit circular :-) . How do you think people become MVPs in
the first place? They are selected because of their track record solving
other user's problems in newsgroups. You have to be active in a newsgroup,
to be an MVP. But, oh wait ... MVPs are so active in newsgroups ... so, they
must be Microsoft plants ...

The relationship between MVPs and Microsoft is pretty tenuous. MVPs are not
Microsoft employees. MVPs don't have any obligation to tow any Microsoft
party line. When I became a Microsoft MVP, it was unexpected and out of the
blue - one day I got an email saying, Congratulations you have been selected
as an MVP. Cool. I didn't have to attend a re-education camp, or anything.
Personally, I have 20+ years experience as a Unix user, and I have an AS/400
and a Sun Solaris box (SPARC, not that Intel crap) sitting under my desk.
Plus a few Linux boxes scattered around the place. I enjoy a big wide of
computing, far beyond the boundaries of Microsoft's technology. I'm also a
member of IBM's Partnerworld ISV program ... does that make me an IBM troll?
Sorry if this much truth is simply
too much for the stuffed shirt crowd.

Hey. My shirt is stuffed, because of my weight problem - nothing else.

Anyways, I'm not very interested in an extended argument about this. It
seems like we agree: the newsgroup is free and open and not controlled or
censored in any significant way by Microsoft.

More accurately Microsoft apologists. Not all MVPs, but clearly too
many! I and many others that post here on a regular basis are as
knowledgeable as any MVP, and have responded to just as many posts
asking for help (often more) but rest assured I'll never be offered to
be a MVP because I rather keep my objectivity and when it is called
for take Microsoft to the wood shed. I won't kiss Microsoft's butt!

Yet almost all do tow the party line out of fear of losing their
"precious" MVP status. Show me just ONE post from any MVP that was
even slightly critical of Microsoft about anything. I won't hold my
breath waiting.

Just for the record I don't lump you into either the prima donna or
fanboy crowd and you're one of the rare MVPs that keeps his cool and
actually tries to help people. Sadly most MVPs, especially those that
are regulars here aren't nearly so well behaved and constantly engage
in conduct that's questionable at best.

Grow up you pompous disk head!

Don't walk, run to your doctor and plead with him to give you a
prescription for any of the following:

Aripiprazole, Clozapine, Olanzapine, Risperidone or Quetiapine. I'll
leave it to your doctor to decide which of the above anti psychotic
drugs would be appropriate for you treatment.

You're starting to lose it Frankie!

Thanks, Adam ... I take that as high praise!

Cheers,

MSDN has what are called "Managed Newsgroups":
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-ca/subscriptions/aa974230.aspx
They are the same newsgroups everyone can access and not all
newsgroups are managed.
Managed means someone from MSDN monitors the newsgroup.
When a MSDN subscriber asks a question and does not get an answer
within a certain amount of time, MSDN will provide an answer.

Other than that they do not monitor the newsgroups although they may
see an inappropriate post and have it deleted from the Microsoft
servers.

AFAIK, TechNet is the same.

Wow...I gather from your pedestrian knowledge of those psychotropic
drugs that you have been, or are currently under, the care of a
psychiatric doctor, right?
Or I'm guessing from the psychotic rage evident in your postings, that
you're actually in a psychiatric ward in some mental institution?
Is that correct?
Or did you just check in to “dry out”?
No lies now.
Frank

You really are a dumb cluck. Very clear that you know very little about this
or any other list you pollute.

This is not moderated or owned only housed in the forums at MS.

No Frank, I just know how to use Google, you clueless ninny.

Oh no I don't really think so.
I'm seeing a pattern from you that suggest a much more personal
involvement revolving around mental disorders than simply googling for
info. Like you've been taking these drugs as prescribed by doctors for
some time now, right?
Come clean as mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of.
It would go a long way towards explaining your erratic and off times
irrational behavior.
Just don't stop taking your meds against doctors orders ok?
Frank

What was the question?

Now Frankie, come clean, you keep trying to pass yourself off as
"expert" on everything, yet you admit you hang out at what's obviously
a beginner's site. Actions always speak louder than words. You just
hung yourself...again.
