Moden Internal Error

I JUST LOADED A NEW UPGRADE OF WINDOWSXP HOME EDITION IM MY COMPUTER: Intel
Pentium 11 processor 363 MHz, 160 MB of RAM and now the modem will not work.
It work before but since the upgrade it will not work. Here is the Details of
the Modem Internal Error: MWME0001: Modem Internal Error

I tried Microsft support online but the chat did was not available
and the email system requires a support system be identified but the drag
down switch does not work

I would check the modem manufacturer's web site and see if
there's a newer driver than the one you're using - many
devices, particularly communications devices, require a
newer driver after upgrading to service pack 2.
