I have recently upgraded to XP home, and installed an Ambient
V92 56k PCI modem. When trying to open Phone & Modem settings in the control
panel, I get the following message: "Phone and modem control panel cannot be
opened. ou may have a problem starting telephony service"
Also when trying to create a new dial up connection, the use dial up modem
option is greyed out.
I can access the modem through the device manage, and the commands from
query modem are fine.
Any ideas please

.
You very likely have to go to the Ambient website to
download the latest modem drivers that are compatible
with WinXP. Go to: Ambient.com
