Modem works in office but no were else!

Hi everyone,

I have a laptop with windows 2000 on, when I use it in the office to connect
to the internet it works fine, I don't use a number (9) to get a line so it
goes straight onto the internet with and 0845 number.
When I take the laptop home with me , It won't dial, in a mater of fact it
tells me that there is no modem!!! but there is.

Can anyone please advise?

Ask your network administrator to arrange it so that
your modem is visible both under your office profile
and under your local profile.

.....and if that's the case (two profiles), it's probably better to use the
same profile (domain login?) all the time, even when not connected to the
office network.
