Is there any way of putting a 'modem in use' indicator on the system tray in Windows XP. All I have at the moment is a network connections indicator showing that there is no LAN connections - I can double click on this to see if the modem is connected but I do not find this very useful.

Go to network connections in the control panel. Right click on the dial-up
icon. Check box that say "show in taskbar". Close Window.
