Modem - Router Problem

I have a LAN behind an ADSL Modem and a Router. Throught the modem alone
the internet works. With the modem AND the router it doesn't work. Does
someone know why?

Here are the details:

It looks as if both your modem and your router are trying to run
the DHCP service on your network. You only need one. If you want
to keep both pieces of hardware in place, I suggest you turn of
the DHCP features on the router (effectively turning it into a
switch/hub). If all the PC's on your LAN can connect to the
modem, then you don't really need the router.

Roger,

The Prestige 623 is a modem / NAT router combo. Why do you need to use another
router too?

After thinking this over, I'd make a change to my suggestion. If
you need to leave the router in place then turn off the DHCP
service on the modem.
