Modem not detected

Suddenly, my ISP software does not detect my modem. I have
removed and reinstalled it several times in device
manager, and it is there, but, the dialer continues to say
it is not there. I have tried new isp software, a new
modem ect. What else can I try?

Go into your device manager and delete the modem. Reboot
the computer and see if XP will auto detect it. Also you
could try moving it to another PCI slot. Maybe your
original one has quit working. Good luck.
