Modem Driver

I recently reinstall win2k in my PC. It can't recognize my "Generic SoftK56
data fax" internal PCI modem. I use a standard modem driver and it doesn't
work. I can't remember how I got it installed last time. I had a vague
impression that I got the driver from Windows XP CD. I also had trouble to
find the driver on the net.
Thanks for your help. Sorry if I post it in the wrong group. I can't find a
better place to put it I suppose.

Most internal modems came with a cCD rom .
Do you have one that has "Supervoice " on its label?
That is a very common one.

The modem installation instructions would be the most valuable tool for
this. You typically need to install the drivers BEFORE, you place the
modem in the slot, but the instructions will tell you the correct method.
