modem driver in xp

I am trying to get a modem working after upgrading from
98 to XP. XP sees the modem in device manager as PCI
modem but I cannot install a driver for it.

When I try installing a generic driver I get the
message 'no information available in this location for
your hardware'
Can anyone help.
 
Try going to the web-site of the modem Mfr. and see if it is XP compatible,
if so, download drivers from them.
