I'm trying to install drivers for a Best Data modem. I have
some alternate Smart One drivers, but I can't get the system
to Uninstall the previous drivers. Each time I uninstall, and
then reboot, it detects the drivers and tries to install automatically.
It has errors, so is not successful. How can I completely uninstall
the drivers so it doesn't autodetect on bootup?

The point is I want to install some other drivers for this
modem, so I don't want it to auto-install the previous ones
which give an error. Removing the modem doesn't load
any drivers, but not a good solution, as then there is no modem.

Typically the instructions say

1. Install the modem drivers
2. Shut down the computer
3. Install the modem
4. Start the computer.
5. Correct drivers will now be found.

The method to escape from your situation is to get back to conditions
prior to step one.

Thanks for the info.
Tried that be then when I installed it, the corrupt driver kept coming back.
I ended up just getting another modem, and that works fine.
