Modem auto dialing

When I sign-on my modem automatically starts dialing, whether I instend to go
online or not. I cannot find a setup menu that outlines a choice to have
this "turned off".

Hi do,

Click Start >> Double click Control Panel >> Double click Network and
Internet Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE Properties window you will see these Options:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs
| Advanced.

Click on Connection Tab, then select this radio Button:
(*) Never dial a connection.
Click [OK] to close the IE window Reboot your computer and see if you will
get the Auto-dial or it gone.
