The power supply light comes on. The green light on the mobo comes on.

The Sony Vaio PC will not boot up. Nothing happens. It was working fine
for a few years.

Then dead.

Is there a way to run a mobo test when the Sony Vaio PC will not boot up?

Check Sony's web site for diagnostic tools and instructions. It could
even be a failed power supply.
