Since upgrading drivers I notice I still have MMC 8.6 but I think version 9
is now current. Reason is I only uninstall the drivers and not the MMC

Question...Do I really need ATI MMC? Does it have any bearing on the
drivers? And if no is it safe to uninstall and get rid of it. Truthfully I
dont care much for their players.

PS using the ATI9600XT and just did moved to 4.4 which seems to be more
stable.

MMC and graphics drivers are two diff beasts, if you have an AIW card
you'll need the capture drivers(WDM)and MMC, otherwise you wont.
