MMC 9.13 You can't TURN OFF the "TV ON DEMAND"

We will have to wait another 8-10 months to a year for a NEW release of MMC.

The NEW "ATI's MMC 9.13" is like "BeyondTV". You can't TURN OFF the "TV ON
DEMAND" in both software programs.

I DON'T like BOTH software programs, they stink!. I'm still with the old
version of MMC 9.06.1, it has NO bugs and I can CONTROL turn on/off the "TV
ON DEMAND" when I want too.

Thanks for the tip. I'm running the software that came "out
of the box" with the ATI AIW X800-XT, which came with MMC
9.03 and who knows what video drivers.

Is it possible to update my video drivers to 6.1 or 6.2,
while keeping the original MMC 9.03, which I'm basically not
having any problems with?

Or update my MMC 9.03 to 9.06, and update video drivers to
6.1 or 6.2, while keeping the Catalyst interface?

Thanks much.

If your not having video driver problems and is running fine. Don't fix it
if it's not broke.

My choice would be, do a uninstall of everything and fresh install of
everything (BUT IT'S YOUR CHOICE) :

- CATALYST 5.12 with CP (Control Panel) >>> Good God!! Don't use CCC
(Catalyst Control Panel) Bloat Software.

- ATI MMC 9.06.1

Yeah, I just upgraded an older 2.53GHz machine with a AIW 9700 from MMC 8.7
to 9.13 and found the picture quality dismal, and the performance horrible -
every time I did something on the machine the video lurched, and even while
doing nothing sound skipped regularly. So, I backtracked it to MMC 9.08
which seems to work fine.

My main PC uses MCE 2005 with a TV Wonder Elite, and while you can't turn
TVOD off in that either, it works much more smoothly - no glitches even
during system intensive things, much higher picture quality (though still
not as good as an AIW in live mode) and it has nearly zero impact on the
rest of your system. And of course recordings complete seamlessly in the
background without you knowing they're even happening (besides for a red dot
that appears in the system tray).

When I first switched to MCE I figured I'd miss MMC - I've been using it
with every major AIW revision since the AIW Pro - but I must say that over
the past few months I've grown to really like it...

I'm not so interested in TV ON DEMAND, but in recording TV
programs using Guide+ and the scheduler.

If I install MMC 9.13, if I start up Guide+, does it still
display video in the window in the upper-left corner?

Also, if I schedule recordings, this isn't going to start TV
ON DEMAND in any way is it? In other words, there is no
video getting written to the hard drive, when using Guide+
and scheduling programs for future recording?

Thanks very much for any help/advice.
