MM disappears after AutoMovie

I'm having a strange problem all of a sudden. I've created AutoMovie clips
in the past with great success, but haven't used MM for a month or two. The
other night I went back to some DV clips, selected a song, and went through
the steps to make an AutoMovie. It analyzes the video and the audio, it
creates a new timeline of all the clips as it should, then the window just
disappears. The app is gone from the task list, no entry in the Application
Event log. I have tried and retried, restarted the computer, used different
music, even tried different collections of clips. All to no avail. I
re-downloaded the install for MM2 and attempted to install it, but it
realized that it was already there and didn't really do anything. I'm at my
wits' end! Any ideas?

I am running Windows XP Pro, SP1, 2.6GHz P4, 120GB hard drive (20GB free).

Any ideas? Thanks!

Well now I feel stupid! I read through some messages before sending this
but not enough. I found the stuff from PapaJohn about removing codecs. I'd
love to konw why that fixed it, but removing several of the .ax files did
the trick.

Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback Arian,

When I know why, I'll add the info to the website.
