MM crash on effects - should've paid more attention to 'papajohn'

B

Bad-Boy

Having - I thought - gone through all the options offered at papajohn's web
page to fix codec problems, I decided to start again and be more meticulous.

So a warning.... I'd relied on uninstalling the divx drivers and player to
remove divxaf the first time.

With no success, I started again and was VERY methodical in following
papajohn's instructions.
Found divxaf, renamed it and IT WORKS.

So kudos to 'papajohn', pointer to anyone with problems to follow his
instructions to the letter :)

Finally, BIG smack on the wrist to MS for allowing this mess to get out on
the streets !!!!
( can't believe that I'm actually advocating that MS should have MORE
control over what happens :)

BIG thanks again 'papajohn'.
