Recently installed a new SBS 2003 with Exchange 2003.
Have 2 machines connected to server - one running W2K
with Outlook 2000, other running WXP with Outlook 2003.
On the machine with Outlook 2000, I have an Outlook
profile configured with a local Exchange account and an
ISP-based Internet account. I have the Internet account
set as the default account. When I send mail to either
local or Internet addresses, those messages are processed
correctly with proper reply addresses, etc. My problem
is on the machine with Outlook 2003. If I set the
Internet account as the default account, it handles
Internet messages properly, but also tries to send local
messages via Internet SMTP server. If I set the Exchange
account as default, it handles local mail correctly, but
sends Internet mail through the Exchange SMTP server with
the local email address as the reply address. Therefore,
anyone receiving the message is unable to reply since the
Exchange server is not available to outside mail.
Is there anyway to get Outlook 2003 to work like Outlook
2000?
