In setting up my new computer, I made a type in my own name. I went through
the registry to correct it, but it's still got the misspelled form on the
folder in Documents & Settings, which can't be renamed because it's a system
folder. Is there any way out of this?

The user profile folders (C:\Documents and Settings\Username)
_cannot_ be renamed, even if the associated user account has been.
So, your best course of action would be to log on using the built-in
Administrator account, create a new user account, with the username
desired. You can then delete the old user account(s).

When asked for your name by any bit of software, always reply:

"Your Name Here"

Likewise for company, respond:

"Your Company Name Here"

I have a ton of business cards showing the above.
