Missing XP components

For some unknown reason I appear to have lost several of my XP components
such as disk defragmenter and windows CD record.

I would like to be able to burn some photographs to a cd but the software
appears to have disappeared so when I puta blank CD in my wirter I get an
error message:

E:\ is not accessible.
Incorrect function

Can I repair XP without having to reinstall and return the missing components?

Try the System Restore tool:
"How to Restore the Operating System to a Previous State in Windows

help, you may have to reinstall Windows: "How to Perform an In-Place
