Missing WordPad

I have been trying to resolve a problem for 2 weeks.
Please help. For some reason(probably a virus)When
downloading information for another computer, I receive
error 53/Cannot find or open wordpad. It is not listed in
accessories. Where did it go and is there a way to
reinstall it without reinstall my whole system? I have
tried updating my service pack and changes recommended.
It does work.

If it's still on your system it will be found at
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache\wordpad.exe

This is a hidden folder so you need to show this folder
first. Open any folder - select "TOOLS" from the top
menu - Then "FOLDER OPTIONS" - now "VIEW" - in here
check "DISPLAY CONTENTS OF SYSTEM FOLDER"
