Missing Text in Replied emails created by Lotus Notes

When I create an email using Outlook 2003, send it to a colleague, who
responds with history using Lotus Notes, when I read his email using Outlook,
I cannot see the text that they have written.
Doesn't matter whether I create the email using plain text or html - still
the same problem.
Any clues?

I think the resolution to this is to turn off removing blank lines from your
email.
Tools Options Preferences Email Options.
Remove extra line breaks in plain text messages.

When you do this then you will be able to read the text.
But it only works on new emails that you have re-received.
