Missing Taskbar

On a Windows 2000 computer the Taskbar/Start bar disappeared. How can I find
and restore it to show on the desktop.

What happens if you logon as a new user? (create a new account in 'User and
Passwords').

Tatar I'm not sure I'm following you but is it set to auto-hide if so when
you move your mouse to the bottom it will show back up. If this is the case
right click it and go to properties and uncheck auto-hide .

Tatar do this and you should get your taskbar back.

Go to the Start Menu and schroll up to Control Panel and then schroll down
to the Task Bar & Start Menu and click on it to open it.

You will see a Auto Hide check box. Click once in it and the task bar should
appear on the bottom of your desktop.
