Hi,

I have a Win2k server SP4 and the Task Scheduler is not
listed under services. The Scheduler appears to be
installed because I am able to add tasks, but they won't
run because the task service isn't running.

Let me know if you need more info.

thx

Check your Event Viewer to see why the Task Scheduler
is not running.

Already did that, no entries are generated.

.

- Start a Command Prompt
- Type this command:
net start "Task Scheduler"

And after typing HELPMSG 2185 I get returned "You tried to
start a service that is not configured on this system"

Again, the Task Scheduler service is not listed.

thanks

The Task Scheduler is bundled with IE6. At this stage
I would re-install IE6. You may have to do it twice -
the first time round it just seems to update some files
whereas the second time round it asks you if you want
to do a full installation.

I've reinstalled IE6 twice on this server but still do not
have a Task Scheduler service available, anyone have other
ideas?

thanks
