My database won't open and the message is "THe form name 'Switchboard' is
misspelled or refers to a form that doesn't exist." Is there anyway I can
open the database if the switchboard form is missing?

Hold the shift key down when you open the database then eliminate the
switchboard name in the start up options as Jeff explained.

I can't remember if you need that shift key to get past that error
message. It means the switchboard has been deleted renamed or never
existed. It also means there may be some corruption so a repair and compact
would be a good idea.

Jeff,
if the db wont open, how can he do tools>startup>ect???
jgmoore,
not sure if it will work but try holding down the shift
key as you open the db. this will by pass any start up
criteria. then you might be able to do the
tools>startup>ect. then you can fix or create a new
switchboard.
