Missing Start Menu/Toolbar and desktop items!

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help, I got Vista a few months back and since i've
had it I've had one error message after another appearing, each time for a
different 'run' error, each one though i've been able to locate and solve
problem, a couple of days ago however a new message appeared saying that a
file qvvtxkdh.dll was missing causing a run error and with that it shuts off
my start menu, desk top icons and my toolbar. I've run every virus program i
have to see if there is a bug in computer, but every time it comes back
clear. As soon as this message appears i have no access to anything on the
computer, so i have to shut down and start again..... what can i do? short of
wiping and starting again? My problem there is Vista was installed on
computer when brought and i have no disc so how do i reinstall? oh i've tried
system restore and it still happens even though i know this wasn't a issue
with computer at the point where i took it back to!!!
any suggestions would be greatfully received!

That "qvvtxkdh.dll" brings up nothing except your own post in a Google
search. It is most probably malware so even though you've run "every virus
program" you have, your computer is still infected. Most antivirus programs
will not remove malware. System Restore will not help, as you have found
out. Back up your data now and clean up your machine as follows:

you. Scroll all the way down to almost the bottom of the page and you'll
see a box titled "Infos Zum Download - Multi-AV Scanning Tool". You'll see
"Download von www pctipp.ch" and the live link to download Multi_AV.

When all else fails, run HijackThis and post your log in one of the
specialty forums listed at the first link above (not here, please).

Not all tools used will work in Vista and you will need to run them
elevated. If you are unable to remove the infection by following the
general steps, register at one of the HijackThis forums as suggested.
