missing start button and task bar at bottom

After I have been logged on for a little bit, the task bar at the bottom of
my screen dissappears. I have no idea why, or what to do to fix it. HELP
PLEASE.

It is probably set to "auto hide". Move your mouse to the bottom of the
screen and it should slide back up into view.

Once you have it to go up again, on the start button, right click and tab
"properties" and then choose options to lock taskbar in options and/or other
options and make sure you un-check auto hide.
