missing security tab

Just loaded Windows XP Pro to my home PC. My first
exposure to XP. My file system is NTFS. I want to assign
security groups to my files and directories. Why do I not
see a security tab on the properties window? I can see
security on those directories if I map to it from a
Windows 2000 PC. Just can't find it on XP.
 
XP PRO: In Windows Explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options, View and uncheck
Use Simple File Sharing. Now, when you right click on a drive, folder or
file (on an NTFS partition) and select Properties, you'll see a Security
tab. Here you can assign or deny permissions based on user name or user
group membership.
