"missing" screensavers

I have a large number of screensavers, many of which are "missing." Oh,
they're there.
But Windows seems to be refusing to recognize them. They are all installed
in either
SYSTEM or SYSTEM32. Some of them show up in Display Properties and some
don't. I can run them directly, but whatever it is that makes Windows
acknowledge their existence seems to be on vacation. Many scr-s I install
seem also just not to work. Here's the file, *click*, nothing. Not even an
error message. Any ideas?

Try Screen Control by Galtech. It's free and handles screensavers that
XP won't. Here's the link:
