Missing Save tab in Tools - Options

Searching for the "Save" tab in Tools-Options in Access 2003, but it isn't
there; only have View, General, Edit/Find, Keyboard, Datasheet, Forms/Report,
Pages, Advanced, INternational, Error Checking, Spelling and Tables/Queries.

Looking for it because I suspec there is something there that will also
allow be to do "Save As" for the MDB. When I click on File-Save As, I only
get dialog relating to saving an object.

Or are these two seperate problems? Solutions?

There is no "Save" Tab Tools - Options in Access 2003

But

File - Back Up Database

will do what you want.

I presume you meant File - Database Utilities - Back Up Database.

I wonder if there is an update to the Help files, which contained this
nugget under "Save a record":

Save files automatically while working

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Save tab.
Select the Save AutoRecover info every check box.
In the minutes box, enter the interval for how often you want to save files.
The more frequently your files are saved, the more information is recovered
if there is a power failure or similar problem while a file is open.

Access is unlike Word, Excel or other Office programs in this respect. In Word
you can save (or autosave) the document; but an Access database isn't a
document! It's more like a container for multiple objects (tables, forms,
reports, etc.)

Any of these objects can be individually saved - within the database container
- but the database itself doesn't have a "save" action.

The Help file is misleading in this respect; it's generic Office help here,
not actually applicable to Access.

The "Save a record" Help entry in my installation of Access 2003 SP2 does
not include the incorrect "save files while working"/AutoRecover information
you cite. That would be valid information in Excel, but not Access.

I wonder if there is an update to the Help files

....are you running SP2 or higher? (Help>About Access)
