Has anyone ever seen on a windows 2000 workstation when
you right click any folder on any local drive only one tab
appears the General tab nothing else no permission or
anything?? Any idea's what happened.

Thank for you help

I know that if the drive is formatted FAT 32 and not NTFS you would not get
the security tab, which gives permissions.
Now, I also have a problem with the sharing tab; my desktop folder is
actually not the default one, but d:\gzdesktop.
When I clic the properties of a folder on the desktop, I DO NOT get the
sharing tab; however, if I access the same folder through D:\gzdesktop, I do
get it. Any ideas on why that happens?

thanks

guillermo

The desktop folder same as mydocuments is what is called a
virtual folder and must be access by the UNC for sharing
you can't share from the virtual drive.

well, in other computer I can directly share a folder that is created on the
dektop directly from the desktop. I think it may have to do with the
registry keys I changed to make the desktop teh path I wanted.
