missing pictures

website pictures do not always open. It may be that most of the pics on a
webpage are visible and several are just the placeholders. My computer never
did this before. Can someone tell me what to do, please?

This can happen when the link between the website and the image is broken.
It is quite common and should be reported to the webmaster. If that is the
cause it is not due to a problem with your computer.

It's possible you have a HOSTS file installed, maybe your spyware did
this - This would be a good thing.

Most of the sites I visit look like what you described, cause of my
HOSTS file. Don't see any ad's cause of it,

Your HOSTS file is located at
WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
