Missing partitions

I have just been organising the drive letters/paths on my hard drive to
incorporate a dual boot partition but 4 of my PC's Card reader partitions
have suddenly disappeared, how do I get them back?

I have no A drive (no floppy drive)

C drive - Main Partition
D - (50gb Unallocated space awaiting installation of xp pro as dual boot
option)
E- CD Rom Drive
F- external hard drive (backup drive)

G- Card reader - Missing
H- Card reader - Missing
I- Card reader -Missing
J- Card reader - Missing

What do I need to do to get the disk management to find these drives.

I am using vista premium x 64 bit as primary os

Have you rebooted the computer?
Safely remove hardware can remove the drives.

Did that Ron, No Good

Havent removed any hardware

have rescanned for hardware changes

Surely there is a way to get back my internal card readers without having to
reinstall whole OS

I've had trouble with a usb card reader before. I found that unplugging it
from the motherboard, rebooting, switching off and re-connecting the reader
worked.

Are the card readers listed under disk drives in Device Manager?

I sussed it out,

I had a four port hub plugged into the usb, when I removed it all of the
card reader drives reappeared. I then put my printer and external drive into
the two usb ports on the top of my PC and they now show and work

Thanks all for your help
