Missing msconfig file after upgrade to Win2000

I upgraded from Win98 to Win2000 Pro and now am
experiencing missing files. I can open many of my
existing programs, but when I tried to install antivirus
software received a 1606 error--unable to locate network.
Also, the tech support response from McAfee said I should
check the msconfig file and take out the start-up programs
to see where the conflict is. When I did Run-->msconfig,
it found NO msconfig file! How do I restore this?

Well the problem is that win2k doesnt come with msconfig
you will have to download it from the internet and put it
in your system32 directory. Then you will have it and it
will run. Make sure you get the windowsXP version or your
machine because if you use a win98 version it will give
you errors when you run it
