I am missing the msconfig file.. I even went to
Winnt\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\BINARIES and it is not there. Did
a search and nothing found.. Also, I do not get anything
when I go to System Restore or System Information. It
just gives nothing on that request. Any help would be
appreciated. Thank You

From Kellys Korner:

Msconfig - Corrupt

To extract: Open a command prompt window. Insert your XP CD into the drive
and enter the following command:

EXPAND -R X:\I386\MSCONFIG.EX_ Z:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\BINARIES

This will extract a new copy of the MSCONFIG.EXE from the CD.

(If you cut and past the above EXPAND command, be sure there are no spaces.)

Correction, no spaces except the one right after the word EXPAND. There
does need to be one between EXPAND and -R.

Hi,

Try: Start/Run

msconfig
msinfo32

Other than that this generally has to do with your Boot.ini.
