missing mmc file

I am having a problem with XP telling me I am missing an
mmc file. I try to back up data and defragment the
computer but this file is missing. Any suggestions on how
to fix it? I cannot locate my XP disk to try to reload.

You need the original Windows XP CD to restore the file to the system. Without the Cd it is impossible to get back the missing files.
