missing keyboard

I am having a problem with Windows XP Pro. Windows does
not seem to be recognizing the keyboard. I can use the
keyboard to get into the BIOS setup at POST, but once the
control-alt-delete message appears when Windows boots up,
the keyboard does not work. I have tried two other
keyboards with the same result. I can log onto the
system using remote desktop. When I look at the device
manager, it shows there is not a keyboard installed. I
tried adding a keyboard, but the add hardware wizard does
not have a keyboard option.

Any ideas?
