For the last two months i can't i'm trying to solve this problem but nothing
seems to help.
Someday my internet connection status icon disapeared from trayn and never
came back although in network option it is enabled to be presented after the
connection.

You're not running Windows XP by chance now, are you?

Hi,

You need Administrator rights here.
On your desktop, Right click My Network Places then Properties.
Right click your internet connection (assuming a network/LAN card).
Then Properties / tab General
Mark "Show icon in taskbar when connected".

what if it's 2000 sp4? Please see Subject: Help«: DUN w/o icon 11/15/2004
7:37 AM PST. I have the "show icon..." checked. i don't recall if there were
any updates that corresponded to the icon's disappearance. i still need to
open the ntwk and du connections then refresh to change status...the icon
appears or disappears at this point it's my vpn connection. thanks
