I am hoping someone can help. I can't seem to find a
phone number for actual help via Microsoft. Sony can't
help. Nothing on the Microsoft Help pages makes any
sense to me, so I picked a performance user group to try
and get some sense of direction at least.
My system (Sony VAIO)crashed for no apparent reason in
August, but when XP was reinstalled, the local gurus
deleted my virus protection (P'cillin; additionally
several (about 8) of my fonts are no longer in
existence. They claim no responsibility and do not even
acknowledge they saw virus protection software on the
system--but they would gladly have sold me a new one!
They will not answer me about the fonts. I gave up and
bought new virus software.
Now my question is can I somehow reinstall the fonts
without buying XP again, since it came with the system
originally?
Where would I go to get help?
