missing file: windows\system32\mapisrvr.exe

This is a missing file on my new XP based computer. What
is it? Where can I down load it? & is it the cause of
the instability of my internet explorer?

Don't know how much help this will be, but it will shed a
little more light on where the component is and its
relation to another component.
