Missing file during XP media center installation

Im in trouble.
I decided to reinstall XP Media Center on my computer. Now i deeply regret it.

This is what hapens when I try to install.
Delete old partition on hard drive (ok)
Create and format new partion (ok)
Installing from CD 1 (seems ok)
Installing from CD 2 (seems ok)
Then it asks for CD labeled "Windows XP professional service pack 2" (or
something like that). I have a service pack 2 cd but it don't include the
word professional. Anyway, I put it into the cd-drive and what happens now is
that a new dialog turns up that sais something like "A file is needed from
cd, put cd xxx in drive".
Obviously the setup program doesn't find the file it wants. When I clicke
browse on the dialog it seems that the file it want is IEXPLORE.EXE. I can't
find any file with that name on the cd. Default searchpath is set to I:\i386
(I is my cd-drive)
The only way to continue the installation of XP is to click cancel. When I
do so everything seems to work ok. It continues to work and finally restarts
the computer and I can log in as administrator with the password I had chosen
earlier. There is not a single failure message during the whole installation,
but not a message that it has completed either. The problem is that there
seems to be a lot missing. E.g. Internet explorer and outlook express is not
installed. And I can't install any programs (get a failure message).

So the question.
Do I have the wrong SP2 cd ("Windows XP professional service pack 2")? Or
could it be something else that is wrong?
If I have the wrong CD, is there anyway to get the right one? Microsoft
doesn't seem to offer any support since I bought a computer with the OS
installed, and the one I bought the computer from only offer technical
support for one year, and I bought the comp 1,5 year ago. So I feel a bit
helpless, I have no clue what to do.

Youre installing xp in windows explorer, how you get the "delete partition" &
"create" is beyond me,its not doing either if you restart pc then open xp in
administrator....Simply install xp cd,boot to xp cd,install xp,new
copy,delete,
create,xp formats..If you were ever at this stage, you'd never be able to re
enter
xp until its reinstalled.

I started the computer from the windows XP CD (booted from CD). Then I chose
to install a fresch copy of XP instead of repairing. Then I chose to delete
the existing partition and create a new one which I ofcourse had to format
before installing the new copy of XP.

Sorry if I was unclear. The part when I logged in as administrator was at
the end of the installation process, not before.
