Missing emails?

My email folders NOW hold emails of not more than a month old. I did not set
this. I have done everything via View Menu to get back to the original mode
where I can see all the emails in the folder without success. Example, I use
my Sent Email folder to track unreplied mails. If I want to check for a
certain email dated September or earlier, I cannot find it NOW. Where are
these emails?
I will appreciate some help.

Recheck your Archive settings for the folder. And you should use a different
folder for unreplied to emails. Make your own folder for just those and flag
the emails for follow up. The Sent folder is a special Outlook folder and
should not be used for storage.

Thank you. But how do I find the old emails. It is not just the Sent folder
but every folder now keeps emails of just about one month or a certain number
of emails. I did not make the changes. Is there anyway to reset to the
former setting. I do not mind if it slows down my system but it is
convenient for me. I depend on Outlook to manage about email clients.

Sounds you have AutoArchive enabled. To turn off AutoArchive go to;
Tools-> Options-> tab Other-> button AutoArchive...

To connect to your archive use;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...

Thank you Roady for the help. I have turned off the Autoarchive. What
could be the possible disavantage of turning it off?

Obi

That depends on the mail account that you use and the version of Outlook. In
general there is no direct disadvantage but only the advantage that
everything is in a single mailbox store. WFIW; I have AutoArchive disabled
as well.
