I'm using winXP Pro attached to a network. All drive
letters (C-Z) are filled with network drives. When I
pluginmy USB mass storage device, there is no available
drive letter and no message/notice is given.
When I disconnect a network drive(T:\) and plugin my USB
stick again, the stick still does not have a drive letter
assigned and is unreachable for me.
When using the "Device Manager"->"disk drives"->my USB
stick->Volumes and populate, winXP produces the right
info, but tells me it has assigned the drive letter f:. So
the USB stick has been detected, but assigned a drive
letter which is already in use by the first connected
network drive.
This problem occures on all workstations in my office,
which all have winXP pro and all updates installed.
Could some one provide me with a solution to the discribed
problem, it would bemuch appriciated.
